This was such a long winded BLOG [ if you guys have ever seen me type you'd know why ] that it just wouldn't make sense not to post it here . It was initially intended for Little Bird but i've since decided why not share with the rest ?

Young Lady , i feel for you truly .. and understand this is not the best understood [ no pun intended ] career choice in the world , all the more reason for you to not just " don't give up " .. so cliche ... but Do EXTREMELY WELL !


Doing well would give em the headsup that this is not just a career that " if you can then very good " this is the career where " you must force yourself to can then UNBELIEVABLE !"


My mommy used to say to me , back in 2003 " well , better than nothin " and or " just gain some experience , i'll eventually open a 7/11 for you , i guess " and most recently "how come other people manager , you also manager but you like so poor ?" when i took a loan from her .
Hahahahaha !!! To which point i replied "i quit now restart my Garang kuni [ rag and bones ] k mommy ? " then she stopped and " sayanged" me later that night with soup .
Gotta understand there's a flaw in the teachings aquired from our parents' own parents .. not nagging/sniding/ being sarcastic/injecting negative remarks/ running my child's face into the mud equals me not doing a good job by keeping my child down to earth and/or REALISTIC ?
But parents dearest ... What if i'm SICK of being REALISTiC , average or ACTUALLY NOT BAD ? [ What the HELL does that phrase mean anyways ??!! NOT bad doesn't mean GOOD... or am i missin somethin here ?]

What if MEDIOCRE terrifies me ? What if earning just enough or EVEN slightly more than enough keeps me awake at night ?What if i feel i should , i could , be worthy of so much more ?
What if i don't wanna be down to earth no mo' ?
What if all i've ever wanted since i was a child was to soar ?

Just as Icarius did ? and if soarin too close to the sun might melt my filmsy wings made of candlewax and i'd quite possibly crash and burn ? But even if that was my Destiny so be it .
At least for that moment in time i'd have tasted Heaven .


however brief and foolish it might seem to some ... it would have lasted an eternity for me and was what my Life's work has been towards .. Right from the very moment i smiled at the toddler in the same play pen sitting next to me and offered her a handfull of sand to which she made her mission to eat ... Having yet to acquire the powers of speech that these days allows me to save/help my loved ones [ that's you tWo , btw ! ... then wing 3 , alan10 and so on and so forth ... ] ...


In actual fact all i wanted to say at that tender age to her was , hey baby , this is sand , DON'T eat k ? [ UNorthodox pickup line i know , but hadta start someplace and sometime right ?...... RIGHT???] and look on eyes wide open , jaws dropped to ground .. salivating , no less .. in Bewilderment , Disbelief as she decided to makan sutra .

With age and wisdom comes the revelation that MOST if not all the people we come across often hear us ... but don't listen . Look at the work we do , but SEE NOTHING .
WE can take it on ourselves then , to OPEN their eyes ... UNCOVER those tightly clasped ears for them .. EVEN if they're our parents .
But there's a song however , titled [ in the living years ] i think ... and in it there's an especially meaningful verse .. see if you can find it ... old song ... they SELDOM write songs like these anymo' . Whoever finds it gets a one to one lunch with me , contest open to all ' cept wing , alan , john , boss , samsambutdifferent , kristy,stephen ,wingy, hector , phyllis , esther lauren phew ! what a mouthful !! and oh ya !

Esther IS pretty impressive almost all the time ... ALMOST because sometimes ... i half suspect she chooses not to be .. All about choices , i guess .

IN anticipation !

Later today , monday 20july2009 , i'll be joinin in for the first activity moderator or activity log as the rest know it ... was very unfortunate that i missed the start due to my hospitalisation but i'm just glad i still get to join in at it's infancy .

May we have the courage , determination , discipline to see it thru ... as well as the foresight that in the long run it's ultimately to our benefit .

i was talkin about this career everyone .

hahahahahahahaa ! you guys thought it was the mod right ? it HAS to work , cos it's concieved by us ! and executed by us ! that is why by US , it will succeed ! Let's do this . simply cos we rock if for nothin else .

i wonder .... how DID my siblings spend their weekends ? ........................................

For those of you wonderin what i'm talkin about ... i'm talkin about La Famille Members being in the top 5 in the weekly updates as received by my mobile on 30th June 2009 , 11.35a.m. Just so Everyone knows .. it goes something like this :

1st Lauren Ling $36,586/4 nol ,
2nd Alan Chin $21,970/8 nol ,

4th Wing Leong $8,103/4 nol ,
5th Stephen Lim $7,357/6 nol .

Gladys even commented : Lauren's case is 3,000 plus issit ? is there a mistake ?


Outstanding ! Now you guys ALL know what the next step is right ? ... ... ... ... ... Beating this !!!

American Idol [ season 8 , methinks ] it went somethin like

Our very own Kristy said it wonderfully apt ... and Twice in office mighty loudly too , i might add !!

" Of course i saw la ! all top 5 our Familly members what !!!! "

Over the weekend , after all the dust has settled , and as i set body and mind to rest each night ... i reflect on the past month , how The majority of the Famille went after their individual goals with all their might . Alan , Danny , Wing , Stephen , John , Kristy , Kristen , Esther and Lauren fought really hard and spared no effort in their pursuit of happiness and their goals .

It now gives me Great pleasure and Honor to announce that to date we have 4 fast track qualifiers and our very own QC qualifier at the mid year point . BIG entourage going for The fast track trip this year ... how nice ...

Noteworthy :

Alan had a Statistics Paper on 30th June , His Toughest subject in his final year and for which he wants/ needs to hit an A !!!

Danny was busy preparing for his wedding when he would wed the Lovely Evon on 4th July and still submitted approximately 24k Api in June alone !!!

Wing was due to attend the First Asian Youth Games on 3oth June , for which he was featured on National TV twice as the official Referee for Basketball !!!!

Stephen had a BIG case go bye bye on him just 1 week before the Fast track deadline but still Grit his teeth and pulled thru !!!

JohnJohn was Facing Big personal problems at home but still brought in impressive amounts of Api !!! He's now Only second to Lauren on the overall BOARD . That's approx 80 agents , just so everyone knows .

Kristy's exams starts on 13th July and she's only been contracted in June but that hasn't stopped her for tryin for Fast track and to date she has close to 20k Api , workin to tears on at least 3 occasions [ that i know of ! ] in this past month alone !!! She wants nothing less than to maintain her current average of A's in her studies . Admirable !

Kristen Finally allowed to close her first case as her Training with The GREAT MR bernard HO Sir has finally seen it's first week . OOoOoOooH the Nectar .. sweet Ambrosia !!!!

Last but Definitely not least .. Lauren brought in a whopping $56,000 Api in June alone !!!! yet still meets up with me and zinc night after night in the first few nights on July cos she's stressed and wants to " UP " her business and speed further ... We've been strategisin and Role playin no end !!!!





Here's the thing . i always recall a quote i see on Boss' Board , it says
" If you GROW because of someone , Let someone GROW because of you "

Now whether we like it or not , or care to admit it or not ... La Famille allows us a vehicle for our thoughts , ideas , emotions and most importantly , ENERGY to be transferred to and from each other ... please and i urge everyone ... give congratulations where it is due BUT MORE SO , voice your concerns when you think your comrade in arms might be falling behind .

We're all captains of our own ships , sailing towards our own destinations , some further than others , some towards nearer shores ... some towards unknown and UNfamiliar waters ... some towards what they deem to be safer waters but we all have one thing in common ..you and i ... No one can sail our vessels for us .

Here's an excerpt i noted down , havin read it on a maritime magazine on my honeymoon in paris in '08 , was one of the seafarers' towns by the coastal areas in Europe that we visited , methinks .

"Captains are not defined by the smoothest sailing times in our journeys .. BUT by the Rockiest , most tumultuous , most hazardous oceans we've crossed and the most life threatening trials we've faced in OUR Epic Adventure . "

At the end of this , the year of the widely acclaimed Greatest Financial Upheaval and or slash , Turmoil in recorded history ... there'll be many different groups of people but amongst the masses in our industry or immediate vicinity ... amongst those who've had dreams and who've fought bravely for those dreams , there'll be two groups ... the group that heaves a sigh , shrugs their shoulders and say " oh well , better LUCK next year " and then there's this group ... your group , people ... who join hands , Laughin and shakin your head in Disbelief , TEARS of pride , joy and amazement ... It's been an Honor and pleasure my Dearest Siblings , accompanying you on THIS , your Great Voyage .

Be the Captains of your own Destinies ... Brave all storms and when you need a harbour in which to rest , take refuge from when the seas are simply too tough or simply to stock up on supplies for that next trip ... La Famille'll always be your Port of call .

Any surprise then that most religions have Recluses , Hermits ? In search of wisdom , these sages / holymen made a Harsh Choice ... to be affected by NONE , communicatin' with NONE ... and in so doing ... Distracted BY ... NONE . Spending their entire days , months , years .... Lives even ... in solitude , meditating , whether it's mysteries / meaning of life or wisdom , peace , Nirvana they seek .

Today , Wednesday the 17thJune2009 , i've witnessed Many things , how some still crave company of others in our line . Others in this sense refers to people not from La Famille .. NO right or wrong here ... depends the reason upon which they act in choosin said company . i have come across many who keep company of those whose productions are waaaaaay below themselves to feel a sense of :



(1)positioning [ to remind themselves where they are and how much better off / positive and happy they are so they strive to stay ahead and keep ahead ] .



(2)Fulfillment [ to remind themselves they're in a position to help , pick up their fallen , straggling comrades , in line or life .




Teach them to fish , people ... NOT keep givin yours or your Famille's .




I guess in Retrospect there's this other school ... and i now realise that it takes a certain type of person to always hang out with people doing waaaaay better than themselves Simply for one reason and one reason alone ... some might think it's to look good cos they then can be in the same Niche group and even if payment is in the form of Flattery or self Degradation , they gladly pay the price . Make no mistake , purpose here isn't to :

ie : Praise , Exhort another at the expense of oneself .



It Ought to be , imho ( in my Humble opinion ) , for one reasone and that reason is to one day be part of this Niche Group , if only to LEAD it ... and one day to match , if not to outperform ... outshine ... the person you strive to become .

Be Great , People , if for no other reason then 'cos in OUR eyes ...you are ... YOU ARE .

Back in Hospital !!!

Man i can't believe it , hospitalised again from the same bite ! just goes to show these things could take a while , and a bit more money then expected . Doctors have informed me that in some cases , the residual venom may take a while to act up .

The swelling started again after 4 days of no show , i checked out on monday only to check back into Accident and Emergency on saturday night .. macy was so poor thing !She had an entire day of roadshow on saturday , started very early in the morning and was only able to return home at 11 plus at night only to send AND accompany me to hospital . WE registered ourselves at 1 plus but managed to get warded only at 6 - 7 am ?

i Checked into the same ward and room i was originally stayin in the week before .
will be discharged the following night on the 10th June . Lookin forward to going down to the roadshow and charging right back to work .. albeit with a puffy middle finger ! LOL .

Much Delayed Post .

Heyheyhey Everyone ! This is the much awaited / procrastinated post i was talkin about in JohnJohn's and also in conjunction with E's blog on the blessings of Prushield Eggstra !Actually i was already back to work on the very day of my discharge on 1stjune2009 , ask Lauren and Kristen , they'll know .. we went back to office together .so it's not i was lazy k ?? ^^

i Guess most would've heard how i got bitten by that NOTCOOL! dude from the Chilopoda family , the biggest group of anthropods . The Big a$$ centipede with a big a$$ bite to match it's reputation . Here it's shown with it's li'l monsters ... You all know how some parents say " these're my li'l monsters" of their kids ? only in this case ..... THEM centipede mothers would be right !!!!

Sparing the description , i shall instead fill everyone in on what followed that fateful event .

After gettin bitten my first reaction was to suck out what little venom i could from the wound , stay calm AND calmly walk over to tell the rest of the party and my MOM makin sure to calm them down . [ you all know how mommies are .. imma always gonna be her baby .. all 240pounds , 6 ft 3" of me . ROFL ! ]

Made it a point to keep my left hand holdin the wrist of my right , so that the venom from the bite on my right middle finger spreads as slowly as possible in addition , keepin my venin entry point lower than the height where my heart is slowed it further ... All this from years upon years of playin/ messin around with these hazardous/dangerous wild animals AND loads and loads of documentaries from the Discovery channel and Nat geo wild ... just ask Danny , Wing , Alan or even my wife , they'll tell ya .

Next and i guess that's the Natural reaction for most people when they realise that they're no longer in any imminent danger . i asked My experts , Wing and Esther " hey guys , Prupremier [ shortform ] eggstra covers ambulance anot har ? " and they BOTH gave me a very REassuring absolutely Bro ! No worries . " at which point i pat myself gently on the chest with my left hand and said in my mind " heng1 LorLorLor ", relieving my grip of my right wrist cos our very own Paramedic from the Singapore Armed Forces Medical Corps did such a Beautiful job restricting the blood flow with his very own version of a Tornique [ a Terra-tie he used .. think that's what Young Master Wing called it ] i Received very good feedback for the way it was tied BOTH at the hospital AND on enroute in the ambulance .. Wing , you shud possibly patent this tying style ???

But that's what people do , don't they ? They wanna know how much $$KACHINK$$ the situation or their affliction is gonna cost them .

To this an EXverydear friend said " Don't talk shop man bro " , should've said "you ok , my brudda ?" know he would've 3 year's ago but that was 3 years' back ... peeps change ... shit happens too , what's next ?? cows flyin' ?...

i wished i had the insensitivity he had , so i could reply " Don't talk C+ man bro , when u tore ur tendon earlier last year your mommy paid for ALL your hospital bills plus therapy .. All 32 years old of them ." But never mind .. sigh .. one lesson a night was already past his treshold , i'd think . And i'd hate to think i owed it to him that night to keep ... Educatin him .

Got rushed back to the mainland and i gotta say this , the cruisers the coastal police use are extremely fast !!! we reached singapore in a little over 10 minutes perhaps ! this coverin a distance spanning at least 45 minutes by our normal boats .

Went To hospital , realised to my horror that B1 has NO aircon , iirc . , i cannot survive ... some of you readin may think me a Spoilt Brat ... but truth be told .. you'd spoil early to in this tropical climate if you were wearin my weight . SoOoOoOo ... A1 class it had to be ... But what an absolutely wonderful experience it turned out to be ... My very own bed , Tv , an additional bed [ $30/night iirc . ] , MY very own shower area , toilet , Picturesque view and nightly " what would you like to have for your meals tomorrow Mr Chiew ? " .

So on the whole my 3 nights' stay was actually fully subsidised and i didn't haveta worry about payment , now that's one and TWO ... This incident might actually serve as a real life experience for some of us to show our clients what this job really DESCRiBES .

[ talkin shop again .. yea ...i'm abashed ... But i guess it's indeed so much easier when u needn't worry about earning money much less planning expenditure SINCE at anytime if any situation happens ... situations such as ..and purely a fictional example ... i must stress " well lets modify my car today ". you merely need to stretch out your hand and miraculously there'll be fools willing to loan the desired amount ."

Guess it IS true when they say there's a sucker born every minute ! Suckers like me who don't wanna burden/ leech / parasite off anyone and whom in turn are in a position to offer help to these clever ones , financial and/or otherwise and whom also coincidentally believe old quotes like " a li'l hard work never killed anyone ". RoFlmFao .

Thank you Dear Centipede ...*frowns Briefly* *then continues* for the $375 reimbursement , and quite possibly ... the tens of thousands of dollars the rest of my famille will earn in the comin months with the pictures and personal experience we'll have from now on .

BUT MAKE NO MISTAKE ... i'm still a little angry with ya ... it hurt .

SoOoooo .. with that $375 , some of us are gonna get some equipment , rent a boat .... and return to the island to return the favor to you and your eighty eight thousand siblings residing on the island . Our dad's are gonna be soOoOo glad just thinkin of ALL that medicinal value .....

Leavin You guys for two days !

Four of us are gonna visit a long time friend of this Family on monday the 18th , The very well connected and influential Batamese ... lol .. if there even was sucha word .. well anyways we'll just be 30 odd minutes away by ferry in batam and only there till tuesday night the 19th so if anything at all crops up or you gentleladies and gentlemen just wanna hear our assuring voices just give us a call .



We are , Terranus Nullius , E , Johnny and Moi .

Remember , if it ain't Bro-Ken , don't try to fix it . hahahahaha .



Also , incidentally there's another trip , this time 3 days 2 nights spent on P.Hantu ,a small island managed by the sentosa park authorities approx. 40 minutes away by bunkboat . Trip's startin' on the 29th so watch this space or Wing's or the Gallery for photos of said trips !



Tryin to get an attachment i have for the packin list to said island to load on this screen so here's to nothing !
